our control room is coming together finally... and just in time. many projects in the works (or recently finished up) at the moment: Bill Bergin (Novel Peoples), Wud Link (Guatemalan Pop Punk!), Kings Highway, Back and Forth, Industry Standerd, Weathered Sol, and more i just can't remember right now. We are still planning a new couple rooms ... hopefully by next summer we can finally move out and into a bigger space. keep those fingers crossed.

Well, a bit ahead of schedule, we got a new console for the new studio. And by "new" console, i really mean "super old / full of problems / fix something every night for a year" kind of console. However..... it sounds fabulous. Huge. Wide. Great. Just like it looks. It's a Neotek Series 3c 36 input large format recording console that was original made in '85 for Millbrook Sound Studios in upstate NY. It spent some time in storage in FL, and then a little while up here in Jersey in Newark. It will be the desk i use in the new studio i'm building, but i figured i'd jump on it now since it looked like a good deal, and it would give me time to restore it. Once we get this thing up and running correctly, there may be no stopping Submergent. Then again, there might be.... we'll see.

In the meantime, as i get this going, work continues on projects. Recently finished EPs for On Your Marks, Steve Owsinski and Weathered Sol, a mix for a band in South Carolina called Industry Standerd, and tracking/mixing continues on Aural Incline's now full length, Matt Cook's never ending saga, and an EP for Leah Thompson. Always busy.

Tis the Season to be Stuck in the Basement

Here comes December again....
As it's getting colder i'm finally finishing up the new shed to replace the garage that will hopefully become the new studio. Next step is to get some people in to take a look-see and tell me what they can do in terms of a building here. In the meantime, it's business as usual.

- Recorded/Mixed a live show for Rich Uncle Skeleton
- The New Ancients begin work on a quick 3 song Christmas EP
- most of the stuff from the last update is still getting worked on.

Moving right along....
- Recording a project for Aural Incline.... 3 or 4 songs in the works so far.
- Mash McLain starts another recording here
- Work on the 4th New Ancients full length begins!
- Tracked drums for a release by The Bryan Hansen Band
- Plans to move out of the basement are officially underway. See the New Studio Build section for details. Although... be warned, at this point the only construction pictures are those of a shed being built.

Into Summer we are heading.....

So here's a new page for Submergent. Why? it's a lot easier for me to update a website when it's in blog form. Also ... for some reason the usual page is down. Oh well. So what's new?

EP for This is Them completed. Released? who knows!! It should be... it sounds rather large and wonderful.

The Big Mechanical Bull has a song now in a cartoon called Mad Corn on Factory Flicks. check the link above. not sure when that's airing.

A Locomotive album *just about done*.
The New Ancients 3rd full length completed. Off for Mastering by Plink at 17th Ave in a week or so.
Dave Triggiano in the midst of recording a 6 or 7 songer. Very Cool. features drumming by Chris L. from A Love Like Pi, Jack Lawless from The Jonas Brothers, and myself (pete).
Mastered a bunch of things i can't remember now...
